Crete is becoming popular lately, apart from tourism, for wedding purposes or even for a honeymoon. Crete is famous for many hidden seasides, the turquoise sea, the variety of the landscape and last but not least the polite and welcoming locals that are willing to help you no matter what is your wish!
Crete is the destination where you can find everything! From quiet and relaxed time surrounded from the most beautiful and peaceful landscape, to the busiest nightlife, full of joy and party! It is guaranteed that you will not get bored since it is a huge island that has it all! It is suggested for winter also, especially if you will visit Lasithi plateau which is astonishing!
In summer time Crete has a very good coastline with a number of ships coming and going from / to Athens and other nearby ports. It also has airports that makes travelling to that destination much easier. Consider not to visit Crete if you intend to stay less than 10 days! It is not a small island and it requires days if you want to visit the most of its beautiful places!
You can start from Heraklion since probably will be the first place to be when you arrive at Crete. It is like a small capital city where you can find everything you wish. It is closer to Rethymno and Agios Nicholaos if you want to visit them and not spend a night there. You should visit Knossos palace, where King Minoas lived there in the ancient years.
Chania has amazing beaches to swim in and it has an amazing nightlife.
Rethymno, the “Venetian Harbor”, gives the opportunity to walk into traditional old alleys with stores and enjoy your coffee or dinner at the little beautiful coffee shops and restaurants. There you can find the most beautiful wedding locations, either you are looking for all-inclusive service nor just the perfect place for the ceremony.
Agios Nicholaos on the east side of the island, has a traditional beauty since it is full of small villages and an amazing landscape!
